I used to be a regular but as time went on the place became worn. My patronage transferred to another close by however I've just been back, wow, what a change, their service, venue and atmosphere is excellent even better, the food is perfect!!!! My only regret is I can't manage a cooked breakfast in the morning as I'm still too full. Well done!!

I would first like to thank you and your staff for the hospitality shown towards myself and my good friend last night and the discount on our meals shortly followed by being gifted a gold card for your restaurant. I have been coming to The Shalimar for a number of years and recently came for a meal after one of my professional boxing matches, in which I received a cut under the left eye. Mahmood and staff members were very interested about the boxing match and I enjoyed telling you all how the fight unfolded (a win for myself on a points decision) I attended your restaurant for a meal again last night and was pleasantly surprised how Mahmood and fellow staff members remembered my injury and again very kindly enquired on how the cut was healing and how I was getting along with my boxing career.

As for my wife’s birthday last weekend I decided to visit Shalimar for an evening meal. I was introduced to the Shalimar by a mate who is a regular customer and told me I won't be let down. The dining experience was excellent...we received a warm welcome....food was delicious.....and the restaurant itself beautiful! Definitely worth the visit!

I'm a great fan of the Indian cuisine, and having visited almost every Indian restaurant in Derby, I must say that The Shalimar has proved to be the most outstanding. Brilliant customer service and mouth watering food which is prepared just the way you like it to be, the Shalimar certainly lives up to its name and truly is in a class of its own. I've been a customer at the Shalimar for over 15 years and go there almost every week with friends and family, it is something you cant resist! Keep it up Shalimar!!
