Many of these restaurants are owned by previous staff or family members who have taken the passion and ethos of the Shalimar to new cities and villages. Five Star Rating For Food Hygiene

The Shalimar Indian Restaurant was the first Indian restaurant in Derby to be presented with a five star rating for food hygiene by Derby City Council’s Food Hygiene Star Rating Scheme and is still in a minority of restaurants that has such an accolade.

All of our cuisine is prepared freshly on the premises and cooked to order by our highly talented kitchen staff and head chef. We only use the freshest ingredients with our secret knowledge of spices and recipes.
